Kathira clinic was established in 1974 a poverty stricken village of Agailjhara, Barisal district. People from this region come to the clinic to avail medical health services. The clinic provides particularly eye care service, at a nominal fee. The clinic also offers pathological, mother-and-child care and general clinical services to the poor. As a result, the villagers’ health has improved and eye problems have been particularly improved.
