EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAM(PRE-SCHOOL)
Education is a basic right for every child. SHED Board works tirelessly to ensure proper education for every child regardless of gender, ethnicity, and socio-economic background. With limited resource it has developed the education strategy to establish pre-schools and operate 32 pre-schools in 10 Ancholik Baptist Church Sangha (ABCS) areas of BBCS to promote mental and physical health during young age to attend school. Eventually it increases the school enrolment and reduces dropout rate. Children attending pre-school leam basic competencies such as reading and writing Bengali, English, counting numbers and learn how to communicate with friends by playing games together. They enthusiastically take part in extra curriculum activities like wall magazine music, dance, gardening, exercise etc with loving care of the teachers. This program is funded by Baptist Mission Society.
Goal:
To provide a quality 2-year preschool education for children from BBCS Church areas, supporting family wellbeing.
Objectives:
• Establish a 2-year preschool program that meets high-quality educational standards.
• Develop a curriculum that focuses on early childhood development, incorporating age-appropriate activities, play-based learning, and social-emotional skills.
• Recruit and hire qualified and experienced teachers who are passionate about early childhood education.
• Create a safe and nurturing environment that fosters children’s growth, exploration, and creativity.
• Provide resources and materials that enhance learning opportunities and engage children’s curiosity.
• Collaborate with parents and families to support their involvement in their child’s education and promote family well-being.
• Offer regular communication channels and parent-teacher conferences to facilitate the exchange of information and feedback.
• Implement assessment tools to track children’s progress and identify areas for individualized attention and improvement.
• Encourage parent education and involvement in workshops, seminars, and activities related to child development and family well-being.
• Continuously evaluate and improve the preschool program based on feedback from parents, teachers, and educational experts.
• Establish partnerships with community organizations and resources to provide additional support and services to families in need.
• Ensure affordability and accessibility of the preschool program for families within the BBCS Church areas through scholarships and flexible payment options.
• Promote inclusivity and diversity by welcoming children from different backgrounds, cultures, and abilities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive school community that values and respects every child and family.
Measure the success of the preschool program based on children’s academic and social-emotional development, parent satisfaction, and overall family well-being.
